Waties Island is a 2.7 mile private undeveloped barrier island at the border of North and South Carolina. Under a permit from SC Department of Natural Resources to help protect the sea turtle, we are at it again this season! WHAT DO YOU THINK?
Gail Oakes and I walked on Waties Island last Saturday and came across this not too far from the water. At first glance it looked like blood. Tune in tomorrow to solve the mystery.
I want to know what the red thing is and if you have access because you monitor turtles. It would help me if you would reply to jo@okeefes.org. http://okeefes.org is my main marine website. I do much marine life but not turtles because they do not operate on my schedule.
